Sharyland FCCLA Volunteers at H-E-B Feast of Sharing
Sharyland
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members
volunteered at the H-E-B Feast of Sharing On November 11, 2012 in
McAllen Texas. The 22nd annual Feast of Sharing Holiday Dinners has been
a special celebration and a way to give back to the community.
Sharyland FCCLA members helped serve over 15,000 people at the H-E-B
Feast of Sharing Dinner at the McAllen Convention Center. This is the
seventh straight year FCCLA members from Sharyland have helped with the
Feast of Sharing for a Service learning Project of their Organization.
FCCLA members helped by serving food, cleaning tables, and giving refreshments.
In
addition to the meal, H-E-B makes the Feast of Sharing Dinner special
in each community by providing entertainment, children's activities,
rock climbing and a book giveaway. The FCCLA members really enjoyed
helping out in this event and they were also able to join in and eat at
the Feast of Sharing for being a volunteer
